Dolce Vita began business in May, 1994. The idea of Dolce Vita in Fairfax began a year before when the owners Joe Ricciardi and Ricardo Bellucci, decided to bring a little bit of Italy to the City of Fairfax. With Traditional Italian Foods and Italian Décor. We decided to bring a little bit of Italian History such as Michele Angelo, Leonardo DaVinci and his famous Mona Lisa, Caesar, Galileo, Christopher Columbus on the Piazza di Spagna and then some more modern persons such as Pavarotti, Marcello Mastrianni, etc.
The atmosphere is casual nice, white linens in the evening for dinner, granite table tops in the after noon for lunch. Our menu is a moderate price range, with daily pasta and meat specials each day, and always a fresh fish of the day.
One of our features is an Authentic Brick Oven with the outside designed like a face and the mouth being the opening of the oven. We also added an addition a few years ago which is known as Dolce Vita Cantina. It resembles an Old Italian Tavern. We use this room for small (30 at the most) private parties or if not rented out we keep it available for a quieter dining room on Friday & Saturday nights. You could also just have a glass of wine or beer while waiting for a table to become available in the main dining room.
We have entertainment 4 times a week. On Friday and Saturday evening Carlos, plays the guitar and sings. His friendliness and charm are reasons that people come in to see him again and again. On Wednesday and Thursday evenings David our Accomplished Pianist plays keyboard for your pleasure and of course loves when our customers make special requests.
